• One woman is killed every hour by her husband in Russia, yet there are no provisions in Russia's criminal law that apply specifically to domestic violence
  
• 2-3 million Russian children are abused annually - 20% are killed, 30% involve sexual violence, over 50,000 run away from home, 4000 - 6000 will commit suicide due to feelings of hopelessness
  
• 700,000 Russian children have no parents to care about them, 1/3 will end up in orphanages.
